Clients are the experts on themselves; therapists are the experts of the process.
As a humanistic therapist, the heart of my work lies in the therapeutic relationship — the genuine, trusting connection between my clients and me.
I believe everyone’s views and experiences in this world are unique — no one crosses the exact same river as you. That’s why, in our therapy space, it’s important that your individuality is honoured and your experiences are heard without being minimised, judged, or misinterpreted.
My intention is to truly see and hear you as you are. If you wish to make changes in your life, I will support and facilitate your journey in exploring possible paths. If you wish to stay as you are, I will offer an experiential space of acceptance and compassion — one that allows you to feel fully met and understood.
As an integrative therapist, I draw from a variety of counselling and psychotherapy approaches to meet the individual needs of each client. Some people may find it helpful to move around the room, write or draw, or use miniatures in our work together, while others may prefer simply to talk. All ways of expression are welcome — and all can be equally meaningful and effective.
In our sessions, you may encounter elements from several modalities, including:
You might be coming to therapy because something feels difficult, confusing, or painful — or simply because you want to understand yourself more deeply. Whatever brings you here, our work together can provide space to explore and make sense of what’s happening in your inner world and relationships.
Some of the areas I often work with include:
Emotions and memories that feel overwhelming, confusing, or hard to process
Relationship with self and boundaries, including self-worth and self-compassion
Bereavement and loss, including pregnancy loss, stillbirth, neonatal or infant death
Parenthood and parental relationships
Late-life diagnosis or self-identification of neurodiversity
Uprooting or relocating, whether within the country or internationally
I also support people navigating:
Anxiety, Low self-esteem, Relationship and attachment difficulties, Personal crises, dilemmas, or life transitions, Depression and Trauma.
Whatever your story, therapy can be a place to slow down, listen inward, and begin to reconnect with your own sense of meaning, resilience, and possibility.
Sessions last 50 minutes and usually take place once a week, at the same time each week.
I offer sessions in person and online via Microsoft Teams, so we can find an arrangement that best suits your needs and circumstances.
I work with clients on both a short-term and longer-term basis, depending on what you’re hoping to explore or achieve through therapy. We’ll have regular reviews along the way to reflect on how the work is going and ensure the sessions continue to meet your needs.
I work only with adults (18 years and over) and hold an Enhanced DBS check.
